Warning!! Attention for all MAG users. *Must read*

The MAG devices are losing the portal settings after updating the device to the latest version of system software and this will not allow the users to add any portal addresses to the device.
So the event of any blockage by infomir, you can use the below methods to unblock your MAG devices.

In this guide, we will teach you how to downgrade the system software to a version that works with IPTV portals or install an image file that brings back the portal settings and IPTV channels via a USB drive if your device is blocked by infomir and you are no longer able to receive any IPTV channels.

Important notice: You must TURN OFF the AUTO UPDATE feature for your MAG device. We can't stress this enough. Auto update feature must be turned off from the settings, otherwise, it will cause problems.


Blocked devices by infomir (MAG 250-254-256-322-324)

If your device is blocked by infomir, you can use the below noblock image files to restore your access to IPTV channels again.
Start by downloading the image file based on your device model via the links below and copy it inside a USB flash drive. Important note: Make sure that the USB flash drive has a decent quality and the storage capacity is less than 16 GB.

The USB drive must include the below requirements:

  1. It must be FAT32 file system format.
  2. If there is more than one partition on the USB drive, you should use the first one.

*Please note that you must TURN OFF the AUTO UPDATE feature for your MAG device*

How to install the noblock image file

For MAG250-254:

On PC (preparation for the USB-drive)

  • Download imageupdate file from the above links.
  • Put imageupdate file in the USB-drive directory mag<model>. For example, you must create a folder inside the root of your USB flash drive and name it mag250 and then copy the "imagefile" inside that folder.

Note: Do not turn off STB and plug off USB drive until the end of the update.
Do not use the upper letter case for naming the folders or image files.

On MAG

  1. Connect prepared USB-drive to STB socket.
  2. Open System settingsSoftware update.
  3. In the window Software update set Update method = USB. You can see two new options:
    • Disk - name of USB-drive
    • Path - Path to update file on the USB-drive
  4. Select Verify (OK) to make sure that the STB detects imageupdate file.
  5. If the file has been detected and can be read you'll see Software Update window.
  6. In Software Update window you can see descriptions of the software versions: the Current version (operating in STB) and New version (available on the USB drive).
  7. To begin to update click Update (F1) in the Software Update window.
  8. Wait until the update is complete. Status of the software update is displayed by progress bar and comments.
  9. After software loads, STB will automatically reboot.

For MAG256:

On PC (preparation for the USB-drive)

  • Download imageupdate file from the above links.
  • Put imageupdate file in the USB-drive directory mag<model>. For example, you must create a folder inside the root of your USB flash drive and name it mag256 and then copy the "imagefile" inside that folder.

Note: Do not turn off STB and plug off USB drive until the end of the update.
Do not use the upper letter case for naming the folders or image files.


On MAG

  1. Insert the prepared USB drive in STB slot.
  2. Open System settingsSoftware update.
  3. In the Software update window set Update method = USB. You can see two new options:
    1. Disk - name of USB-drive;
    2. Path - Path to update file on the USB-drive.
  4. Select Verify (OK) to make sure that the STB has detected the imageupdate file.
  5. If the file is detected and readable successfully you'll see Software Update window.
  6. In the Software Update window are descriptions of the software versions: the Current version (operating in STB) and New version (available on the USB drive).
  7. To begin the update click Update (F1) in the Software Update window.
  8. Wait until the update process is complete. The status of the software update is displayed by progress bar and comments.
  9. When the software is updated the STB will automatically reboot.

For MAG322-324:

On PC (preparation for the USB-drive)

  • Download imageupdate file from the above links.
  • Put imageupdate file in the USB-drive directory mag<model>. For example, you must create a folder inside the root of your USB flash drive and name it mag322 or mag324 and then copy the "imagefile" inside that folder.

Note: Do not turn off STB and plug off USB drive until the end of the update.
Do not use the upper letter case for naming the folders or image files.

On MAG

1. Connect prepared USB-drive to STB. You can use any USB connector of STB: both rear or front.
2. Open SettingsSystem settingsSoftware update.
3. In Software update window set Update method = USB. You can see two new options:

  • Disk - name of USB-drive
  • Path - Path to update file on the USB-drive

4. Select Verify (OK) to make sure that STB can detect imageupdate file.
5. If the file is detected and readable successfully you'll see Software Update window.
10. Select subsequent operation after comparing Current and New versions:

  • To start update push Update (F1).

11. Wait until the update process is complete. After completing the update, the STB automatically reboots.
Note. Do not turn off STB and plug off USB drive until the end of the update.

There you have it. The above examples are for the devices that no longer have access to IPTV channels and you can use the mentioned ways to restore access to IPTV channels. If your device was not listed in the article up to now, you can skip the no block update and simply downgrade your device to the factory image and still bypass the blockage by infomir.   • Put imageupdate file in the USB-drive directory mag<model>. For example, you must create a folder inside the root of your USB flash drive and name it based on your DEVICE MODEL such as mag322 or mag324 etc and then copy the "imagefile" inside that folder.

Step 1: Bringing up the System Recovery Utility menu

To do this:

  1. Power off (unplug the power supply) the STB.
  2. Push and hold the Menu button on the remote control (it should be directed straight to the STB).
  3. Still holding the Menu button power the STB on (plug in the power supply).
  4. Wait for (~10 seconds) System Recovery Utility menu.
  5. Release the Menu button.

Step 2: Go through the below path :
Select Upgrade tools ⇒ Upgrade Software ⇒ Using USB ⇒ Yes.

The info about software update status is displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Wait until the update process is complete. After completing the update, STB automatically reboots.

Note: Do not turn off STB and plug off USB drive until the end of the update.
Do not use the upper letter case for naming the folders or image files.
